🐁 Ford Mondeo Auto Gearbox Problems

I have a 2011 Mondeo Zetec with 96,000km. Last week my car started to jerk, so I went to the service dealer, only to be told that the transmission has gone. A new transmission would cost $15,000 to replace. The car is insured for $10,500. I think this is a job for Fair Trading. My theory on this is that it is clutch drag causing the problem and perhaps a very tiny amount of rust or damp on the pressure plate overnight causes enough drag to make low gear It could be that the front back one needs adjusting to push it more into gear. (i.e. 1st/2nd 3rd/4th 5th/rev) The adjustment is at the gearbox end of the cable, its a fiddly plactic clip and threaded bar arrangement. Any corrections etc appreciated. find a mondeo of same year and specification. get the ecu tag (you can do this by research on ebay pictures) then load the asbuilt file from that ecu to your car. this should sort all your problems. then you will need to do a key learn/ pats initialisation.
